He was predeceased by: his parents, S. C. Lawson and Callie Walker Heller; his wife Betty Ann Shirley Lawson; and his siblings, J. C. Lawson and Murrell Lawson Elrod.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Lawson (Lisa) of Toccoa and Laura Lawson Worthy (Bo) of Eclectic, Alabama; his grandchildren, Craig Lawson (Jordan), Corey Lawson, Katherine Moreland (Frank), Leah Nguyen (Justin) and Peyton Hanson; his great grandchildren, Naomi Rose Lawson, Emmeline Betty Nguyen, Parker William Nguyen and Reese Moreland; and his niece Patti Lawson Roberts (Ronnie).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitlock Mortuary, Inc. (120 Rose Ln, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (475 E Tugalo St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Stephens Memorial Gardens (3650 GA-17, Toccoa, GA 30577).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Toccoa.
