She was predeceased by: her parents, Almer Godwin and Dimple Smith Godwin; and her husband Derace Lamar Holmes. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Floyd, Jeff Mitchell (Anne) and Greg Mitchell (Sandra); her siblings, Joyce Brown (Emory), Shirley McDaniel, Kathy West, Jimmy Godwin (Judy) and Jerry Godwin (Susan); and her stepchildren, Danny Holmes (Tammy), Caleb Holmes (Ashlyn), Salina Gill (Mark) and Randy Mitchell (Angie). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
