He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Smith and Bessie Moon Smith; and his brothers, James "Jack" Smith of Huntsville and Fletcher N. Smith of McDonald, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Baker Smith; and his sister Aline Skelton (Jimmy Ruth Rousseau). He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the New Home Baptist Church (1334 Ballard Rd, Trenton, GA 30752). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International in Cranford's honor.
