He is survived by: his children, Vaniecia Ferguson (Tim), Abby White (Chris) and Matthew Smith Sr.; his siblings, Brent Smith (Mary Jo) and Sue Smith; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Toby, Jordan, Alison, Brittany, Matthew and Jacob. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
