He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lewis and Idell Samples Russell; and his wife Shirley Sullivan Russell. He is survived by: his sisters, Louise O'Rear and Faye Willey (Shane); his grandchild Maddie Hughes (Tyler); his great grandchild Hazel Grey; and his grandson Christian Smith (Lindsey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory (11415 S Main St, Trenton, GA 30752). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
