It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Carroll VanHooser of Trion, Georgia, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Isaac (Nannie Greene Van Hooser) and Navy; his wife LaDarce Banks VanHooser; his daughters, Lori Carol Robertson and LuAnne Ellis; his grandsons, Joshua Robertson and Christopher Robertson; and his siblings, Nannie Lee Martin, Elizabeth Short, Dorothy "Dot" Gillis, Bessie Farless, Margaret White, Nelson VanHooser, Hugh VanHooser, Isaac VanHooser, Hoskins VanHooser and Haskel VanHooser.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Larry Ellis; his grandchildren, Jennifer Everheart (Michael) and Andrew Ellis; his great grandchildren, Megan Goines (Bobby), Logan Ellis (Veronica) and Austin Burdette; and his great great grandchildren, Madeline, Maverick and Alaric. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
