He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Maddux and Olene Russell Maddux; his brothers, Lynn Maddux and Mark Maddux; his grandson Austin Maddux; and his nephew Jody Maddux.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry Henderson Maddux; his children, Rusty Maddux, Derry Maddux (Amanda) and Keisha Maddux (Ben Latta); his grandchildren, Russ Maddux, Olivia Maddux, Daven Maddux, Josie Pettyjohn (Chandler), Lincoln Maddux (Kaylin Bishop), Toby Maddux, Maddux Colbert, Stetson Colbert and Knox Latta; his great grandchildren, Kason Maddux, Hallee Pettyjohn and Hazel Pettyjohn; and his cousin Bobbye Jo Davidson.
