She is survived by: her husband Richard Mitchell; her children, Shannon Scoggins (Dianna), David Mitchell (Katie), Jeffery Mitchell (Jenny), Sabrina Jones (Randy) and Cherrie Scoggins; and her siblings, Charles "Sonny" Scoggins (JoAnn) and Janice Blackmon. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at the Summerville Cemetery (110 Highland Ave, Summerville, GA 30747).
