He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy L. Matthews and Marie Edwards Matthews; and his sister Barbara Sue Wagner. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McGlamery Matthews; his children, Marc Matthews (Kimberly) and Jenifer Campbell (Byron); his grandchildren, Savannah, Dan Lentz, Jackson, Mitchell, Benjamin Matthews, Morgan, Max Campbell, Parker and Preston Jackson; his great grandchild Noah Lentz; and his brothers, Larry Matthews and Gary Matthews (Carol). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
