It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fredia Marzell Thomas of Tucker, Georgia, born in Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Fredia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Fredia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Fredia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Margie Lou Thomas; and her siblings, Inez Clack, Wriler Mae Cross and Leroy Thomas.
She is survived by: her siblings, Deborah Addison of Gainesville, GA and Edward Thomas (Ruth) of Gainesville, GA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518).
