He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Singletary Hurst and George D. Hurst Sr.; his wife Barbara Brown Hurst; and his sister Mrs Mary Hurst Romay. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff (Donna Hurst), Trae Hurst of Dacula and Tucker; his granddaughter Samantha Hurst of Nashville; and his sisters-in-law, Polly Brown, Jean Brown and Joan Ernst. He is also survived by numerous niece's and nephews that he considered/loved like his children.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
