She was predeceased by: her parents, Roselle Cox Floyd and George Newton Floyd of Atlanta; her husband Conner Nelson, Jr.; and her son Tom Nelson. She is survived by: her son Barry Nelson; her daughter-in-law Becky Nelson; her grandchildren, Rebecca Fisher (Bryan) and Ben Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Joanna Nelson, Mellie Fisher and Jackson Fisher.
