She was predeceased by: her parents, Royce Middlebrooks and Grace Middlebrooks. She is survived by: her husband John Lewis Champion; and her son Michael Royce Champion. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
