She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon E. Cowart; her parents, Wilday Roussell and Susie Roussell of Dahlgren, Virginia; and her brothers, Wilday and Alvin Roussell.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Burdges and Gary Cowart. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
