He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Jean Smith Hankins and Bruce Eugene Cooley; and his daughter Ashlyn Cooley. He is survived by: his wife Heather Cooley; his sons, Aaron Cooley, Adam Lumpkin and Brandon Martin; his siblings, Ronald (Teresa Smith), Rodger (Kathy Songer) and Debra; and his brother-in-law Kenny Norris. He is also survived by two aunts, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, several cousins, and other relatives and friends.
