He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Leroy "Bill" Farris and Addie Bingham Farris; and his sons, Barry Farris and Kemp Farris. He is survived by: his wife Thelma "Lucy" Odom Farris of Twin City; his children, David Smith of Twin City, Richard Lowary of Yulee, Edwin Farris of Yulee, Florida, Donna Farris of Yulee and Sheryl Applegate of Jacksonville, Florida; and his brother Jerry Farris. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
