It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Powell of Uvalda, Georgia, who passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Powell Powell and Elouise Turner Powell; and his sister Evelyn Powell. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Simpson Powell; his sons, James Powell, Jr. of Uvalda and Michael Powell (Sheila) of Uvalda; his grandchildren, Autumn Espinosa (Shane), Summer Powell, Ray, Winter Fountain (Patrick), Hunter Powell, E. J. White and Dakota White; and his great grandchildren, Phoenix Hall, Cadence Ursrey and Allison Ursrey. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation in Mr. Powell's memory, are suggested to the Smyrna Men's Club or Smyrna Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 447, Uvalda, GA 30473.
