We are sad to announce that on November 6, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Mae Jones of Uvalda, Georgia, born in Glenwood, Georgia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Willie Silas and Eunice Mae Clark Rowland; her former life partner William Thomas Heath; her husband Gilman U. Jones; and her siblings, Mary Montford, Deleon Rowland, Carl Lanier Rowland and Robert Silas Rowland.

She is survived by : her nephews, Roger Rowland and Kenneth Couey (Joan); and her sisters-in-law, Norma Rowland and Pauline Couey. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Anderson Youth Home, 1603 McIntosh Street, Vidalia, GA 30474; to the Uvalda United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 173, Uvalda, GA 30473; or to the charity or organization of one's choice.

Tim Ritchie wrote a sympathy message

“Ms. Mae was a kind, generous lady with a great sense of humor. I knew her from my time at Paul Anderson and she was a friend of my Daughter in Law Kristen Ritchie ( Kaufold ). At a time of sadness my greatest memory of her was one of humor. I was speaking at a graduation at the Youth Home when Ms. Mae got really dizzy and an ambulance had to be called. She called me the next day to apologize and jokingly i told her I had that affect on older ladies ! Her laughter is still a great memory for me.”
