She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Lee Groover and Dalfie Evans Groover; her husband Silas Aaron Dukes; her siblings, Donald Groover and Ruth Crummey; her stepsister Julie Hutchinson; and also, Bethene Dukes Baxley and Glenn Lamar Dukes.
She is survived by : her children, David Dukes (Pam Carter) of Baxley and Mary Jean Dunlap (Terry) of Eastman; her children-in-law, Heike Dukes of Brandon, FL and Wallace Baxley of Baxley; and her sisters-in-law, Ethel Dukes of Hazlehurst, Josephine Groover of Hazlehurst and Nell Dukes of Brunswick. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
