She was predeceased by : her parents, Amos Thomas Ellis and Mamie Burkett Ellis; her brother Thomas Ellis; and her nieces and nephews, Gayla Harper, Lisa Crumpton, Keith Harper and Kent Harper.

She is survived by : her husband Lyman Adams; her sons, Leland Adams (Helen) of Uvalda and Jeff Adams (Joanna) of Uvalda; her sister Nell Harper of Denton; her sister-in-law Deanie Ellis of Hazlehurst; her grandchildren, Wesley, Amanda, Travis, Dallas, Shelby, Lindy and Austin; her great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Gavin, Braxton, Tegann, Maddix and Kendyl; and her niece Kim Wilds.
