With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alton Lewis of Valdosta, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alton left this world on May 30, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Lewis and Willie Mae Lewis; his wife Gladys Lewis; and his children, David Lewis, Polly Pilgrim and Brenda Dwyer.
He is survived by: his son Terry; his daughter-in-law Melanie Lewis of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Jody Pilgrim (Maria Scott) of Valdosta, David Redish (Travis) of Valdosta, Camile Lewis (David) of Valdosta, Alana Lewis (Zackary Lewis) of Valdosta, Brook Lewis (Joshua Pilgrim) of Valdosta and Selena (George Joyce) of Valdosta; and his friend Joyce Allen. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sassers Landing Cemetery.
