We announce the death of Anthony Roberts (Valdosta, Georgia), born in Branson, Missouri, who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 65. Anthony will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Roberts (Pop) and Betty Essary Roberts; and his sisters, Carolyn Roberts and Rhonda Green. He is survived by: his wife Debra "Debbie" Roberts; his children, Rebecca Shipp (Justin) of Beebe, AR, Jessica Jones (Daniel) of Taneyville, MO, Jennifer Brice (Klynt) of Ozark, MO, Morgan Lightsey (Kristen) of Valdosta, GA and Aaron Lightsey (Pate) of Lake Park, GA; his grandchildren, Josiah "Si" Shipp, Kidron Shipp, Atty May Shipp, Jed Shipp, Lexi Bentley, Aidan Jones, Riley Jones, Cloud Jones, Dempsey Brice, Charlie Lightsey, Jedd Lightsey, Nicholas "Nick" Lightsey, Maggie Lightsey and Turner Lightsey; his great grandchildren, Ily Bentley and Louise Bentley; his mother-in-law Cora Lee Burkhart; and his sister-in-law Stacie Lush. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602).
