He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Exum and Beulah Exum; his wife Sammye Exum; and his brother John Exum. He is survived by: his children, Glenn Burgess (Paula), Dan Burgess (Angie) and Dee Burgess; his grandchildren, Chris Burgess (Alesia), Jennifer Rush (Brian), Lauren Burgess (Laura), Danny Burgess and Aurelia Reed; and his sister-in-law Sallie Exum. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren.
