She was predeceased by: her parents, Allan Julian Strickland III and Jean Jordan Melton; and her brother Brian Strickland. She is survived by: her close friend Mike Chapman; her daughters, Katie Steele (Ben) of Goleta and Emma Buescher (Justin Mowdy) of Bozeman, Montana; her grandson Maverick Steele; her stepmother Jeanette Strickland of Valdosta, Georgia; her siblings, Allan J. Strickland IV (Kim) of Valdosta, Jordan Strickland (Diana), Kathy Smith (Allen) of Clayton, Kellie McTier (Tom) of Valdosta and Julie Lovein (Dan) of St Simons, Georgia; and her sister-in-law Janet Strickland of Hahira, Georgia..
