He was predeceased by: his parents, L. M. Barwick and Geneva King Barwick. He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Barwick of Valdosta; his daughters, Cris Sheffield (Mike) of Lake Park, Renee Davis (Bruce) of Lake Park and Heather Jackson of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Trent Davis, Brandon Davis, Bray Sheffield, Cheyenne Williams (Johnny), Jessica Cashwell and Clay Cashwell; his great grandchild Skyler Williams; and his brothers, Dan Barwick of Valdosta, David Barwick of Nahunta and Dewayne Barwick of Nahunta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
