Dorothy L. Bostic Obituary

We announce the death of Dorothy L. Bostic of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on September 11, 2026. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Staten and Callie Lou Vann Lightsey; and her siblings, Mary Smith and Vernon Lightsey. She is survived by: her husband John E. Bostic of Valdosta; her son Andy; her daughter-in-law Lisa Bostic of Valdosta; her daughter Dee; her son-in-law Darryl Wood of Valdosta; her grandchild Jody Bostic of Jacksonville, FL; her sister-in-law Joan Lightsey of Lake Park; her grandchildren, Lindsi Elliott (Ben) of Hahira, Keeli Thomason of Hahira, Gabe Cason (Regan) of Hahira, Lauren Sirmans (Allen) of Valdosta, Jessica Varn (Matt) of Hahira, Nikki and Ian Wood (Nita) of Fredericksburg, VA.; and her caregiver Joann Robinson. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
