He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sanders and Emily Lenora Strickland Sanders; his siblings, Martha, Jock and Larry Sanders; and his great grandchild Miles Hendry.

He is survived by: his sister Evelyn Weaver; and his daughters, Terry Musgrove of Valdosta, GA, Alicia Wood of Boise, ID and Millie Wright of Stockton, UT. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
