We announce the death of Ganelle M. Shaw of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 99. Ganelle will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Bell Minix and Elijah Sapp Minix; her husband Walter Leon Shaw; her brothers, Edwin Minix and Ernest Minix; and her grandchildren, Kristen Wade and Brannon Shaw.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon Shaw (Tenya) of Ray City, GA, Steve Shaw (Natasha) of Pinetta, FL and Sandra Shaw of Valdosta, GA; her grandchildren, Eric Shaw (Candy), Emily White, Joshua Strickland, Brittany Thigpen (Devin) and Stephanie Kent (Cory); and her great grandchildren, Kaden Kent, Karsen Kent, Kole Kent, Everleigh Kent, Esther Ganelle Kent, Liam Mcmullan, Loden Wade, Savana Adams (Dustin), Katelyn Lewis (Matthew), Gabe White, Caleb White, Court Shaw, Corsa Adams, Hudson Lewis and Olivia Lewis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Abundant Life Church of God (3419 Knight Academy Rd, Valdosta, GA 31605). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
