It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Herring of Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James E. Herring to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Tomas and Sarrah Rebecca Boone Herring; and his wife Mary Elizabeth Horne Mote. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Rebecca Baird (Steve) of Tallahassee, Florida and Jamie Dane Herring of Valdosta, Georgia; his granddaughters, Kimberly Rebecca Spivey of Tallahassee and Sarra Herring of Orange Park, Florida; and his great grandchild Vegas Spivey (Honor Spivey). He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Music Funeral Services - Valdosta (3831 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the Riverview Memorial Gardens (3945 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602).
