She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Curtis "Buck" Acosta and Sue Kelly Ramey; her husband David Brooks, Sr.; her daughter Tanya Renee Dodson; and her sister Joyce Goddard.
She is survived by: her daughter Alisa; her son-in-law Bob Ganzak of Valdosta; her children, David Brooks, Jr. of Valdosta, Shannon (Patrick Best) and Kelly (Matt Johnson); and her grandchildren, Heather Williams, Brooke King, David Williams, Jr., Megan Smith, Blake Williams, Rachel Williams, Jordan Weaver, Logan Law, Landon Best, Jayden Best, Jensen Best, Brooks Best and Olivia Brooks. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
