We are sad to announce that, on December 26, 2025, Joel Carter of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Carter and Gail Thigpen Carter; and his brother Bobby Carter. He is survived by: his wife Cheri Peters Carter of Valdosta; his son Bryce; his daughter-in-law Oriana Carter of Houston, TX; his daughter Caroline Carter of Valdosta, GA; his siblings, David Carter, Jr. of Savannah and Elizabeth; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Kappa of Bloomingdale, Gail, Buddy Pinkston of Lawrenceville, GA, Terry, Elaine Peters of Greenville, SC, Mickey and Teresa Peters of Boston, GA; and his mother-in-law Betty Peters of Boston, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
