It is with sadness that the passing of John R. Williams of Valdosta, Georgia is shared. John R. passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John R. will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John R. by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John R. is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John R.’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Emily Fisher Williams; parents: John Leman & Joyce McCrary Williams; sons: John Richard, Jr. (Scarlett Williams) and Matthew Denman Williams; grandsons: Trace Williams and Truett Williams; sister: Debi McNeal (Paul McNeal); brothers: Mike Williams (Deane Williams) and Steve Williams (Lynn Williams); brother in law: Paul Fisher (Lisa Fisher); mother in law: Jeanne Fisher; grandmother: Pearlie Williams; officiant: Dr. Jimmy Towson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carson McLane Funeral Home (2215 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31602). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Park Avenue Church (100 E Park Ave, Valdosta, GA 31602).
