It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Harrell of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Leon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Eddie Harrell and Beatrice Swain Harrell. He is survived by : his children, Anthony Harrell (Lisa) of Valdosta, GA and Beverly Kincaid (John) of Melbourne, FL; his grandchildren, Seth Harrell, Erica Kincaid, Katie Kincaid and Spencer Kincaid; and his sister Shirley Beatrice Harrell of Augusta, Georgia..

A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A burial was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at the Douglas City Cemetery.
