He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie, Sr. Blanton and Eloise Parker Blanton; and his brother David L. Blanton. He is survived by: his children, Michael Blanton, Jr. (Frankie) of Augusta, GA and Amanda Verdin (Ty) of Alpharetta, GA; his former wife Jennifer Blanton of Atlanta, GA; and his siblings, Ernie E. Blanton, Jr. (Priscilla) of Lake Park, GA, G. Daniel Tyson (Tonya) of Richmond Hill, GA, Mary Lou DeLoach of Navasota, TX and Beth T. Vickers (Rick) of Dixie, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
