He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brooks Conant of Valdosta; his children, Jennifer Conant Wells (John) of Thomasville, Georgia, Sylvia Pickett (Ronald) of Oak Island, Katherine Hilliard (Robby) of Greensboro, Bunny Conant Spires of Burlington, Carol Chessen (Bert) of Missoula, Montana and Norman W. Conant (Beth) of San Antonio; his sisters, Sylvia Chesson of Winston-Salem, Willa Pruzan of Newport, Laura Varga of Champion and Tali; and his brother-in-law Vernon Benignus of Durham. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren.
