He was predeceased by: his parents, William DeFoy "Red" Bruce and Mary Goolsby Bruce; his wife Barbara McGill Bruce; and his brother Jerry Allen Bruce. He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Pegg (Bill) of Valdosta and Carmen Turner (Walt) of Nashville; his sister Debbie Cross (Henry) of Moultrie; his grandchildren, Taylor Logue (Stephen) of Valdosta, Jackson Pegg (Catherine) of Nashville, William Pegg of Valdosta and Georgia Ann Booth of Chicago, IL; and his great grandchildren, Oliva, Nora and Theodore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
