It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Eugene Hayes of Valdosta, Georgia, born in Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Charles Hayes; his former wives, Jessie Swails and Juliet Saliba Coker Hayes; his siblings, Waymen Hayes, James Hayes and Lorene Norell; and his son-in-law Michael Drummond.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Hayes of Valdosta; his daughters, Marlena Drummond of Ellijay, GA and Jessica; his son-in-law Jason Nelson of Perry, GA; his son Thomas Jeffrey Hayes of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Baleigh Drummond and Morgan Drummond; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Brad, Vicki Bynum of Valdosta and Stanley Bone of Adel, GA; and his nephews, Bradley Bynum and Aulden Bynum.
