We are sad to announce that, on May 10, 2025, at the age of 91, Walton Carpenter Elliott (Valdosta, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Walton Carpenter may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Walton Carpenter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Walton Jacks Carpenter and Lawrence Marvin Carpenter; her husband William Gus Elliott of Cuthbert, Georgia.; and her brother James Martin Fraser, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Walter Gus Elliott, II (Laura), James Lawrence Elliott (Susan), William Walton Elliott (Kelly) and Lucy Walton Elliott Enniss (Stephen); her grandson William; her great grandchildren, Mary Jean Elliott and Ruth Justice Elliott; her brother Lawrence Marvin Carpenter (Margelyn Carpenter); and her nieces, L. Elizabeth Carpenter and Catherine Carpenter.
