He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayman Walter Stephens and Virginia Pearl Shelton Stephens; and his wife Gwen Cavender Stephens. He is survived by: his daughters, Monti (Bart Bullock) and Sharon (Ronnie Hawthorne); his grandchildren, Heather Phillips (Chris) of Pensacola, FL, Sommer Vaughn of Montgomery, AL, Whitney Hawthorne of Pace, FL, Josh Bullock (Chrissie) of Sydney and Colby Bullock (Megan) of Sanford, NC; his great grandchildren, Gaines Vaughn, Hayden Phillips, Cavender Vaughn, Mika Bullock and Emi Bullock; and his caregiver Erma Jean Hutchinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
