It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claudia Moxley of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Lyons, Georgia, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Thornton; her parents, James Paul Moxley and Tyra Powell Moxley; her brothers, Dale Moxley, Mark Moxley and Tim Moxley; and her daughter-in-law Skye Keyes.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Thornton Ahmay (Michael) of Fountain, Brian Todd Keyes of Springfield and Sheila Thornton Waters (James "Chip") of Ellabell; her siblings, Todd Moxley of Vidalia and Della Moxley O'Neal (Bill) of Cedar Crossing; her grandchildren, Michael Ahmay, Christopher Ahmay, Heaven Ahmay, Colton Keyes, Kaiden Keyes, Jaxton Keyes, Ciera Smith, Tommy Thornton and Savanna Waters; and her close friends, Greg, Jessica, Alyssa Hall and Denise Grooms. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews she also considered her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (3429 GA-29, Vidalia, GA 30474). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
