She was predeceased by: her son Ryan Adkins; her parents, Jack Lewis and Mary Frances Snipes Lewis; and her brothers, Steve Lewis and Al Lewis.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald C. Burke of Vidalia; her daughters, Renee Adkins Janssen of Canton and Rebecca Adkins James (R. L.) of Lyons; her stepchildren, Erica Burke Sutton of Wrightsville, Eric Burke of Laurens County and Lee Burke of Laurens County; her grandchildren, Marlee Williams of Vidalia, Claire Starnes (Jake) of Palm Harbor, Will Dunlap of Canton, Mary Frances Janssen of Canton, Caroline Janssen of Canton, Ella Kate James of Lyons and Jaxon James of Lyons; and her brother Chad Lewis (Donna) of Dublin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
