With sadness, we share the passing of Glinda Conaway (Vidalia, Georgia). Glinda, born on October 24, 1950 in Lumber City, Georgia, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmos and Rosa; her stepfather Samuel Browns; her sons, Jermaine Smith and Darryl Conaway; her son-in-law Robert Faulk, Jr.; and her siblings, Daniel Conaway (Nancy), Harry Stegall, Beatrice King (Jerry), Loretta Tobler (James) and Huberta Oakley (Eddie).
She is survived by: her daughters, LaChandra Smith and Octavia Conaway Faulk; her grandchildren, Tamaya, Tamorian, DeCoby, Xavion, Desmond and RiUndria; her brother Larry Conaway (Sarah); her sister-in-law Hattie Stegall; her sisters, Justine Conaway Mincey and Ruth Hurd; her godchildren, Bobbie Boyd, Zachery Wesley, Terrance Robinson and Mary Hollie; and her friends, Jed Mincey, Sheryl Anderson, Jackie Wolfolk and Alice Strong. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home (211 W Liberty Ave, Lyons, GA 30436). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gospel Church of God (46 Renwick St, Lumber City, GA 31549).
