We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2024, at the age of 81, John W. Bowden of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Swainsboro, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Bowden and Rena Hackle Cowart; his wife Marie Busbee Bowden; and his siblings, Cleve Bowden, Bobby Bowden, Elizabeth Curl, Linda Powell and Clara Skinner.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Wyatt Johnson (Mandy) of Canoochee and Kaye Mincey (Jimmy); his siblings, Susan Rountree (John) of Swainsboro, James Bowden (Frankie) of Cusseta and Alice Davis (Jimmy) of Canton; and his grandchildren, Mellissa Graham (David), Kara Olliff, Nikki Hayslip (Clay) and Tedi Rountree. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
