He is survived by : his children, Tanya Tilghman and Brian Bright of Dover, NJ; his close friend Denise Johnson of Vidalia, GA; his grandchildren, Brittani Bright Tilghman of Springfield, MA, Carla Everett (Johnnie) of Middletown, DE, Alexis Tilghman of Wilmington, DE, Danielle Tilghman of Claymont, DE and Clarence Tilghman III of Claymont, DE; his great grandchild Alora Everett; his siblings, Ethel Hawkins (Erskine) of Dover, NJ, Mae Williams of Morris Township, NJ, Shirley Mincey of Knightdale, NC, Pamela Howell (Lourinza) of Knightdale, NC and Charles Bright of Dothan, AL; his uncle Lavorn Jones (Dorothy) of Vidalia, GA; his aunts, Hazel Sanders of Pompano Beach, FL and Annette Jones of Miami, FL; his close friend Chester Smith; his nieces and nephews, Tony Bright, Bretley Bright and Tula McCutchen; and his children, Erick, Derek Williams, Zannis Johnson and Ravon Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin, extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Solomon Tabernacle Baptist Church (902 Thompson St, Vidalia, GA 30474). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
