Margaret Pittman Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 1, 2025, at the age of 94, Margaret Pittman of Vidalia, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Clifford Walker Pittman; her parents, Franklin Matthew Galbreath and Sadie Phillips Galbreath; and her sister Barbara Ann Galbreath Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Pittman Giles (Bruce) of Vidalia, Melissa Pittman Riner (Larry) of Vidalia and Melinda Pittman Thompson (Bart) of Vidalia; her sisters, Caroline Galbreath Merritt of Vidalia and Liz Galbreath Broadfoot of Vidalia; her grandchildren, Christina Wyble (Ed) of Atlanta, Ginny Grace Giles of Vidalia, Caitlyn Sutton of Brooklet, Haile Darley (Alexander) of Cedar Crossing and Millie Pritchard of Statesboro; and her great grandchildren, Drew, Alec, Abe, Athen and Harrison. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
