He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Joyner and Alice Wood Joyner; his brother-in-law Alton Anders; his nephew Brian Anders; and his great-nephew Christopher Lane Roberson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Patsy Anders of Greenville, Janice Miller (Keith) and Mary Ann Gray (Jimmy) of Johnson Corner; and his nieces and nephews, Wes Miller (Whitney), Amy Roberson (Robert), Amber Greer (Brian), Matthew Howell (Emily), Jamie Gray (Dona), Mandy Gray and Kenan Anders.
