It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eugene Yarbrough of Vidalia, Georgia, who passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Robert leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Eugene "Gene" Yarbrough and Hannah Jane Echols Yarbrough; his wife Nan Ellen Elkins Yarbrough; and his son Robert Steven Yarbrough. He is survived by: his sister Joyce Yarbrough Barrett (Buddy) of Talking Rock, Georgia; his daughter Cindy Freeman (Chris) of Smyrna; his grandchildren, Coty Yarbrough of Beloit and Kayleigh Yarbrough of Ft. Knox, Tennessee; his cousin Jim Tidwell; and his close friends, Marilyn Johnson and Maggie Brice Snell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
