He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Lee Powell and Delma Arlene Beckworth Powell; and his sisters, Elizabeth Powell Greenway and Mary Lou Powell Spikes. He is survived by: his wife Geri Powell; his sons, Glynn Powell of Vidalia and Brian Powell of Baxley; his brother Larry Powell of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Reed Powell of Ashville, Nick Powell of Statesboro, Caroline Powell of Vidalia and Casey McGowan (Tyler) of Raeford; and his great grandchildren, Mylan and Charlotte. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
