She was predeceased by: her husband William Campbell Register; her son Walter Eugene Register; her parents, Prince Albert Thompson and Annie Estelle Polk Thompson; and her siblings, Betty Thompson Lewis, Richard Thompson and Larry Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Register Scott of Lyons, Gloria Register Thigpen of Vidalia, Keith Register (Alison) of Yulee, Britt Register of Vidalia and Kimberly Register Bennett of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Michelle Boyd Buhr (Todd) of Miramar Beach, Savannah, Jana Thigpen O'Conner (Lee) of Vidalia, Jamie Poole Gibson of Soperton, Kevin Boyd (Tonya) of Register, Jeffrey Register (Heather) of Fort McCoy, Suzanne Tiller Brantley (Denton) of Cedar Crossing, Josh Thigpen (Sydney) of Vidalia, Laura Boyd of Hinesville, Jessica Register Nail (Dirk) of Cobbtown, Chris Register (Debi) of Jacksonville, Britta White Martin (John) of North Augusta and Brandon White of Waynesboro; her siblings, Abbie Jo Thompson Tippett of Vidalia, Robert "Bob" Thompson of Chesapeake, Gene Thompson (Lynda) of Chesapeake and Ronald Thompson of Ivor, Virginia; and her sister-in-law Jean Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Center Methodist Church (4444 GA-15, Vidalia, GA 30474). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
