Sarah Chapman Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on August 29, 2025, at the age of 89, Sarah Chapman of Vidalia, Georgia, born in Roswell, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Merritt and Blount; her husband George B. Chapman; her son Daniel Warner Merritt; and her granddaughter Ashley Merritt.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Merritt Eubanks (Jeff) of Albany and Scott Emerson Merritt (Gia) of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; her daughter-in-law Dee Dee Dimick Shearouse (Craig); her grandchildren, Kyle Warner Merritt (Joel), Mallory Eubanks Sandiford (Alan), Jeffery Adam Eubanks (Abi), Mejra Shea Merritt Gold (Trevor), Reese Thornton Merritt and Colton Scott Merritt; her great grandchild Jeffery Nash Sandiford; and her stepsons, Wes Chapman (Abigail) and Biram Chapman (Karen). She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
